Views
by Peter Elfelt of Copenhagen. Elfelt put a small handwritten title
on the top l/h corner of the mount and these are not always clear. He was
Court Photographer in the 1880s and had a habit of providing travelling
people with camera equipment and then marketing the views they brought
back. Most views have an impressed mark 'Eneret', which is simply
Danish for 'Patent' or 'Copyright'. Presumably embossed on the image to
deter pirated views, and even used by Underwood in Denmark.
