Posed, Set-Piece and English Classic Views
(page one)

These pages contain probably the widest range of views by subject, age and price of any on the site. There are many very early (1850s) views, but also included are everything from curved mounts and amateur views to salt prints and fine 1850s studio compositions. There are TWO pages so please don't miss the link at the bottom of this page. Please note: Some views have a slight orange tinge which was caused by my new scanner before I got the hang of it. Difference in size is also due to scanner settings. The English Classic views in color are in the color section. Please click here for those, although there are a few in these pages.

First, a series of untitled 1860s views.

The next section comprises views by Peter Elfelt of Copenhagen. He was probably the most prolific Danish stereographer and was court photographer to the Danish royal family. His wide range of views extend from semi-nudes (presumably not the Royal Family) to views of Africa and Asia. He was a very competent photographer and his views are well worth collecting.

These views seem to be all of Anna Larsen the Danish actress who didn't turn up - the catalyst that ended up with the film 'The Danish Girl'.
