Luxembourg
Views of Luxembourg are very
rare. We have, however, recently had the good fortune to buy a collection
of 41 late 19th century views. These are from around 1897 but are possibly
taken from earlier glass negs. They have been preserved out of the light
and are all in as-new condition. Titles in French are mainly printed into
the views with some additions in German on the sides. I have done my best
to read them. Sorry the prices are a bit higher than usual - they cost
more and will not be repeated as they are the only decent views of Luxembourg
I have seen in 20 years.

'Luxembourg, Mit viadukt'.
The road leading into the distance is Avenue de la Liberté. For
a few years in the 1940s, due to a little local difficulty, it was renamed
Adolf Hitler Straße. I went over this bridge and down this road to
work every morning for ten years. That doesn't add to the value of the
view but, in 50 years, when I am retrospectively famous, it might. Consider
it as an investment.
